Anything Auburn was the theme of Stephanie and Cory's Wedding and Reception in downtown Montgomery. From Stephanie's Garter to Cory's Cake to everyone's Orange and Blue shakers - After the ceremony they even marched down the aisle to a rousing trumpet rendition of "WAR EAGLE" ! What a fun and exciting day - We had a blast ! Thanks so much for allowing us to share this special time with you and your wonderful family and friends.

Recently Engaged ? Important decisions ahead

-----
If you are reading this you are either --
[1] - Recently engaged and wonder what we have to say about the decisions you and your fiance' have to make in order to have the wedding of your dreams.
or
[2] - You are one member of our vast family of satisfied customers and like to keep up with us by reading everything we post on our blog. Whatever the case we thank you for checking out our blog and website and hope we can provide something worthwhile for the few moments you spend with us here.
In the event you are recently engaged, and planning a wedding in the near future, you are obviously looking around the Internet for the right people to make your "special day" just that, "SPECIAL" .
A day that you will remember for many, many years with happiness and joy - knowing that you have selected the perfect gown, the best venue, the most awesome wedding cake, and hopefully the right photographer to capture it all - in beautiful, professionally produced photographs that will allow you to re-live every exciting moment of your wedding day each time you open your album or watch your DVD - year after year after year.
The "art" of wedding photography has changed over the years. In the past a trained, experienced, professional wedding photographer was the local portrait photographer who worked out of a studio and was known for producing outstanding images for his clients - families with newborn babies, high school seniors, business men and women etc. - all the time building a reputation as the towns 'professional' photographer.
Today, finding a tried and true 'professional' wedding photographer is a little more difficult. With the advent of the "world-wide-web" and digital photography it seems that anyone with a camera and a free Saturday can promote him or herself as a 'wedding photographer'. A simple web search for the term "wedding photographer" can produce literally hundreds of business listings. With so many options how can one possibly know which photographer is the right fit for YOUR wedding?
This is where the decision you make is very important. There are many things to consider when selecting your photographer. First and foremost your budget. All couples [and involved parents] should have a budget in mind before contacting any vendors for the wedding. How much can they afford to spend on each facet of the wedding?
True, 'professional' wedding photography is not cheap by any means of the imagination but, it doesn't have to "break-the-bank" either. A good wedding photographer - one with experience - artistic ability, and one who offers professional products [online viewing, leather albums, professionally produced DVDs etc.] will charge anywhere between $1500 - $3000 for his or her basic wedding photography packages. In some markets the basic rates start much more. But what do you get for your money?
The old saying is true "You often - Get what you pay for".
Consider this - If your wedding pictures are not super important to you and all that you need is a few pictures of the bride and groom taken with the wedding party, their family, and maybe them cutting the cake, in about a 2 to 3 hour period. You can generally get this for well under $1000.00 - in many cases much less if a family member or friend offers to take the pictures for you.
However, if your wedding photos are very important to you. Then, how much are you willing to invest in your future memories. How valuable is it to you to have the peace-of-mind that the person you hire to take your wedding pictures has the experience and artistic ability to create images that truly capture the excitement and emotion of your most special day?
With all of this said - Why should you consider Fountain City Portraits as your wedding photographer?
Simply stated - When someone trusts us enough to be their wedding photographer we take this responsibility very seriously. Our goal today, is the same it has been since the inception of our business. To capture the heart and soul of our clients in photographs they will treasure year after year.
We feel that this can't be done by one single photographer in just the 2 or 3 hours surrounding the ceremony. That is why we only offer "all day" coverage by 2 experienced professional wedding photographers at every wedding we photograph - no matter what photography package you choose.
This allows us to be with you through out the day - photographing all the fun moments spent with your close friends and relatives leading up to the ceremony itself and then all the excitement and atmosphere of the reception ... all the way to the time you wave good-bye to your guests as you make your departure amidst a shower of rose petals, bubbles, or brightly lit sparklers.
Knowing how to create photographs that can actually touch someones heart doesn't just happen by chance. It takes time, and some degree of talent. We are excited to share our 20+ years of photography experience and our talents with those who appreciate all that we offer. Those who realize the value of hiring true wedding professionals.
We are not the least expensive wedding photographers out there and we certainly are not the most expensive - We do however, give a lot of bang for your buck.
So then, if you have taken the time to read all this and now want to see if we are the right photographer for you - please feel free to contact us and discuss your wedding with our knowledgeable and courteous staff. We promise that you will never feel pressured in any way.
Call or email us today - you can even use the convenient web form by following the 'contact us' button on the home page of the website to request more detailed information about our studio and wedding photography packages. Either way we would love to hear from you! And from the bottom of our heart we wish to say Congratulations! to you and your fiance' as you plan your beautiful wedding !!

David, Rhonda and Desiree'

A rainy day and even a power outage couldn't dampen the excitement of Farrin and Christopher's wedding in Selma. Everyone had a fabulous time despite the inclement weather.
